End-Load Cartoning

At the start of end-load cartoning, a rotary feeder accepts pre-sealed sleeves into the line. The carton is erected when the product arrives. The erected carton is then pushed into position for the filled sleeve to be inserted into the ‘still open’ carton.  Once the sleeve is inserted, the minor flaps on each side are folded for gluing.  Next, the lower major flap is folded and adhesive is applied. Finally, the upper major flaps are folded down to seal the carton. Once complete, the carton moves on to the downstream equipment.
